Schematic, one of the nation's largest interactive client services agencies is seeking a full-time Creative Director to join our growing Austin team. Schematic provides both design and technology solutions for a variety of platforms including the PC, mobile and television. Our mission is to create simple yet powerful solutions to our clients' business challenges. Some of our clients include Dell, ABC, Fox, GE, MTV, Motorola, and Microsoft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plays a leadership role in the generation, development, and execution of creative concepts within the creative team
- Provides leadership, direction and high-level concepting that define voice and style and bring creative concepts to life
- Participates in the development of creative ideas that will be executed in a variety of online and offline channels
- Provides creative input that supports the strategic direction of various client projects
- Participates in proposals to new and existing clients
- Occasional travel for client projects may occur
Experience and Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in marketing/advertising and creative development preferred
- 3+ years in a senior-level creative position with a strong portfolio of work preferred
- Demonstration of strength in conceptualization and proven ability to develop strong marketing/advertising
- A thorough understanding of information architecture and interactive marketing
- Excellent client facing and presentation skills
- Strong design or copywriting background
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required
- Familiarity with design applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is highly desired.
- Knowledge of motion applications such as Flash, DHTML, After Effects, and other 3D programs is also a plus.
- BA in fine art, advertising, or related field is required
