National Instruments, a leader in computer-based measurement and automation, is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer for its LabVIEW Research and Development Group to assist in the creation of skins and icons for new software.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software development group to design aesthetically pleasing skins and icons.
- Create design mock-ups, allow sufficient feedback and revise.
- Produce optimized images, icons and themes for integration.
- Ability to create mood boards, concepts drawings, texture and color studies.
Requirements:
- Assoc. or BA/BS in Visual Communication, Web Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Commercial Art or related field.
- Thorough understanding and experience with software development processes.
- Minimum of 5 years experience designing skins and icons for consumer-oriented websites and applications.
- Expert in the standard visual design packages, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of technology limitations that influence graphic design decisions.
- Experience with WPF, Silverlight and Flash is a plus.
