Description

We're currently seeking experienced User Experience Design professionals to join our newly formed team within a rapidly growing corporate design group.

What we’re looking for:

Visual designers

We’re seeking creative individuals that challenge the norm and who are passionate about great user experiences. Visual designers work on a range of product interfaces, from mobile phones, web interfaces to PC applications.

Interaction designers 

We’re looking for creative problem solvers that can tackle complex user interfaces across a range of screen sizes (mobile, portable and large display), develop wireframes and diagrams that communicate with clients, and create documentation to guide engineering.  

What else?

• The belief that design is as much about emotion, behavior and story-telling as it is about utility and ease of use 
• Real empathy and respect for your audience of end users 
• The tendency to look in unexpected places for inspirations 
• Curiosity and a quick sense of humor 

Ideally, your humble beginnings are rooted in art school or graphic design or architecture. Then somewhere along the line you discovered fields like interaction design or human computer interaction and thought, "hey, that's for me"  

Expert proficiency in the tools of your trade. We could list a bunch of software in which you should have expertise. But we don't care. Why? We'll take it for granted that as a seasoned visual designer, you're familiar with stuff like Photoshop and Illustrator and Visio or Omnigraffle. We're not focused on the methods, just the end result. And the end result should effectively communicate your designs in interesting ways to the developers building our software, so they can grasp your intentions and build them.  

Self-motivation, good communication, comfort with both following direction and change. The only constant is that things change (and change often). You need to be comfortable with that.  Does this sound like you? If so, we'd like to hear from you. 

Who are we?  

We are a new, ninja-like team within a huge organization here in Austin. We're operating like a start up (so, lots of opportunity for growth) and represent like an agency (so, an enormous amount of project variety -- from mobile to PC, flash to android). More on that once we hear from you.
