It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood and a beautiful day for a neighbor! Slip on your favorite sneakers and catch up with the latest series of Small Talks — a whole cast of characters can hardly wait to open their doors and tell you a story.

About Matt Hovis
Matt Hovis is a graphic designer, and film/video director. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 with a BFA in Studio Art. After working in the film business for a couple of years he began Hovis Design, a graphic design and animation studio in 1993, and in 1999 opened the award-winning multimedia and film production studio called Action Figure.
Recent work includes a permanent video installation piece for a Tivoli Systems location in Raleigh, North Carolina, the identity for KLRU’s Austin Now, and the brochure design and art direction for Ballet Austin. Recent publications include Print’s Best Logos and Symbols Vol. 6, Logos That Work (Rockport Press), Re:Think Re:Design Re:Construct (How Design), Communication Arts, and Print’s Regional Design Annuals. Recent awards include regional and national Addy Awards, Summit Awards, the Telly Awards, and International Monitor Awards, Neenah Gold Medals, and the Dallas Show.
